Yarvik likes to offer its tablet customers a complete solution. And today an online application store belongs to that solution.

One central place where you can easily browse through thousands of programs for your Yarvik tablet and where you can download any app by pressing a single button.

When you do this on your tablet, the installation will start directly. When you’re at your computer, please follow the steps as below:

Save the downloaded APK file to either a memorycard or a USB stick.
Insert the memorycard or USB stick into the tablet and open the APKinstaller program (appInstaller on certain models).
The APKinstaller will locate the APK file on the memorycard/USB stick and from there you can install it on your tablet.

After the installation there will be a “GetJar” icon in your Yarvik tablet’s menu and you’re good to go!

REMARK:

It may have come to your attention that GetJar, the application store that we preload in our current models, has been experiencing technical difficulties.
There were quite a few apps that couldn’t be downloaded, the progress staying stuck at 0%.

The reason for the 0% download hangups is that the GetJar market is also showing apps coming from the official Google Android Market. Since Yarvik tablets are not officially Google Certified, these apps cannot be downloaded, resulting showing a mixture of downloadable GetJar apps and undownloadable Android Market apps within GetJar.

GetJar has respond to this problem by effectively filtering out the undownloadable Android Market apps, for the three following models.
-          TAB210
-          TAB410
-          TAB411

For the TAB211, TAB250 and TAB310, GetJar is unable to identify these three models specificly.
This means that the undownloadable apps as mentioned above cannot be filtered out.

Therefore it is still possible that you can run into an undownloadable app on one of these three devices, because one cannot tell the difference between an app from the Android Market or a “true” GetJar app.

Please note that for the TAB211, TAB250 and TAB310 the issue is related to GetJar only. Therefore there is no technical defect regarding the tablet itself!

GetJar is one of the many third party online app stores available for the Android operating system.
In the beginning, we have included GetJar with our tablets as a free service to you. Of course that doesn’t mean that it is the only way to go.

Besides an Appmarket there’s always the possibility to install any Android application you can find on the internet as an APK (Android Installer Package) file.

For all future Yarvik tablets the GetJar app store will only display 100% downloadable Getjar content.
